Improved UO: Kingdom Reborn

Well it was officially released 8/24 that Ultima Online is doing a complete makeover!!!
It seems very fitting since next year 2007 marks their 10 year Anniversary! They are actually re-drawing all the art and the sneak previews are amazing!!! I am VERY excited about this, as I have been playing UO for many years now and this is a huge step up!
I don't have a lot of experience playing other mmorpgs, I did however play Shadowbane and was a beta tester for them, but they died out very quickly for me. There is no other game like Ultima Online, and of course like anything in the world it does not work out for everyone. But for me, I am forever hooked! Also for those of us that have been there for so long, we have seen many changes, some good and of course some not so good. But we have remained because we get something out of the game besides just entertainment.
I had always played Catskills from day one and I finally made the choice to move over to Atlantic back in May. Although I was sad to say goodbye to my memories on Catskills, I looked forward to my new venture ahead.
Since then, I have made many wonderful friends along the way and even talked one of my dearest friends from Catskills to come over with me Mirage (I love ya! *hugs*)! I recently joined one of the best guilds I have EVER seen, they are LLTS "The Syndicate". It is so wonderful to be able to get with a group and go hunting at just about any time of the day, it brings back so many memories of what we refer to as the "old days" when all you had to do was announce you were doing a tmap and before you had a chance to get your aids ready you already had a full party waiting!
Over the years though I must say, one thing that I do like that UO has changed is making so many of the quests and hunts in the game rely on a group of people instead of being solo in the game. Dont get me wrong, there are times when I just want to mess around about in the lands and solo mobs by myself, but for the most part I enjoy being with friends. :)
Recently I have had probably the most fun I have had in over a year!!! LOL Like I said above I have met many wonderful friends on Atlantic, one of them however really sticks out...Hal! I don't know how he feels about this but he has made me laugh so hard in the past 2 weeks its unbelievable!!!! Just this past weekend we both met up with a Lich Lord Paragon (I'll call him Mr. LL). He seemed to like Hal a whole lot though, in fact Mr. LL liked him so much he followed Hal and stood right beside him as Hal was afk and when Hal didn't respond because he had gotten up to get a drink Mr. LL got angry! LOL Hal you know you really shouldn't upset Mr. LL like that...next time at least offer him a drink too! :P Needless to say we collected a LOT of death robes that night!!!
I look forward to my next venture out this weekend...hmmmm I wonder where we should explore this go around. It actually doesn't matter where we go, because I know we will have a LOT of fun like always! :)
P.S. Hal...*Hugs* thank you for making my past 2 weeks so great, and I look forward to many, many more!! :P
